Where are you from and where do you coach?

I am originally from Fresno, California and now reside in Fort Collins, Colorado. I am the owner of Schmidt Performance basketball training in the Northern Colorado area for the past 5 years. I have previously been a boys varsity basketball coach and college coach in Fresno California and Fort Collins Colorado for more than 20 years.

How did you discover Transforming?

I discovered Transforming Basketball and their revolutionary approach on social media, and I have been curious ever since. Through Alex's book, as well as Transforming Basketball's website, Membership Community, and Events I have gained a great deal of knowledge on this innovative and contemporary platform.

What Transforming events or products have helped you the most?

Incorporating the CLA, conceptual offense and principles of play has been the most impactful for my coaching business and the teams I work with. These concepts are easily defined and convenient to implement into any program. I was also able to experience the Transforming Basketball Summer Camp in Italy this past summer and gained a ton of applicable and useful knowledge, as well as he chance to work with terrific like-minded coaches who are willing to learn and improve with these contemporary ideas. Also, being apart of the Membership Community has allowed me to network with other coaches from all over the world who all believe in the same ideas!

What changes have you seen in your coaching and with your team since using these ideas?

I use a transformational approach to coaching, the CLA, and conceptual offense in both my basketball training business as well as my boys club teams U9 & U10 that I currently coach. Its innovative and contemporary ideas are both refreshing and applicable across all skill levels. The results are staggering. I have seen a huge improvement in performance since we adopted these practices on the court. The players love it and so do I. It completely has changed how I view the game and coach it.
