Who we are

Top

This Privacy policy explains how TransformingSports OÜ, trading as Transforming Basketball (“we”, “us”, “our”), handles personal information collected through this website. It applies to this site and the resources, communications and purchases offered through it.

It should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions. If you have any questions, contact us at .

Information we collect

Top

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you give us. When you sign up for a free resource or our email updates, we collect your email address and, where offered, your first name. If you complete our quiz, we collect your email address and the answers you give about your coaching context so we can send your recommended pathway. When you send us an inquiry or use our contact form (including inquiries about camps and clinics), we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, a topic, and the content of your message.
  • Purchases. Payments are handled by a third-party checkout provider (SamCart). You enter your payment details directly with that provider on their checkout, not on this website. We receive the confirmation and order details we need to fulfill your purchase.
  • Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting platform processes basic technical data (such as your IP address and browser information) to serve pages and keep the site secure. Analytics and marketing tools may set cookies or similar identifiers according to your region and privacy choices, as explained below.
  • Your preferences. We store your cookie-consent choice in your browser so we can respect it on future visits. Where you arrive from a campaign link, basic referral information (for example UTM tags) may be stored in your browser to understand how people find our resources; this is cleared if you withdraw analytics consent.

How we use your information

Top

We use personal information to:

  • deliver the free resources and email updates you request, and let you unsubscribe at any time;
  • respond to your inquiries and provide support;
  • process and fulfill purchases you make;
  • operate, secure, maintain and improve the website; and
  • measure site use and advertising performance where permitted by your region and privacy choices.

Cookies and tracking

Top

Essential cookies and storage are needed for the site to function and to remember your consent choice. We ask before loading optional analytics and advertising tools in the EU, UK, unknown locations, and other regions outside our automatic-tracking list. For visits detected in the United States, these tools may load automatically unless you have opted out. Saved refusals and Global Privacy Control take priority. You can reject optional tracking or change your choice at any time using in the site footer.

If you complete our quiz, we save your recommended pathway in local storage in your browser, together with the free resources you have requested on this site and the paid resources on your pathway you have opened, so we can show your next step when you return. This is functional storage: it does not include your name, email address or any other identifier, and it is not sent to us or to anyone else. You can remove it at any time by clearing the data for this site in your browser settings.

When tracking is enabled, we share page visits, conversion events and advertising identifiers with Google and Meta to measure advertising performance and support advertising. Our analytics services also include Vercel and Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used (such as clicks and scrolling) to help us improve the site. You can opt out of advertising data sharing by turning off Marketing in Cookie settings, or reject all optional tracking. We use our hosting provider's approximate country detection to select the regional setting; automatic tracking is not recorded as an explicit consent choice.

Some pages embed content from third parties — for example YouTube video players, and Spotify or Libsyn podcast players. When you play or interact with that content, those providers may set their own cookies, which are governed by their own privacy policies.

Advertising audiences

Top

If you subscribe to our emails or buy from us, we may share your email address with Meta (Facebook and Instagram) through our email provider, Kit. Meta checks it against its own accounts. When there is a match, we can leave you out of ads for products you already own, or show you ads for resources related to what you have shown interest in.

We do not share your quiz answers, your messages to us or your payment details for this purpose. To be left out of these advertising audiences, email us at . You can also manage the ads you see in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings.

Website chat and customer support

Top

When you open website chat, we load Zendesk to handle your conversation. Zendesk processes the messages, attachments and contact details you choose to provide, along with technical information needed to deliver the chat. A functional chat cookie helps keep your conversation available. The chat service loads only when you ask for help. Emails you send to our support address are also handled in Zendesk.

Our support team can read and respond to your conversation. Hugo, our AI assistant, may answer questions first; you can ask to speak with a person at any time. Please do not send passwords, payment card details or sensitive information about a child. Using chat does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

We use AI services, including Zendesk’s AI tools and Anthropic (Claude), to help answer support questions, draft replies for our team to review, and group customer feedback into themes. When we summarize feedback, we remove names and email addresses first. These providers process the information on our behalf to provide their service to us.

YouTube API Services

Top

We use YouTube API Services in our internal publishing tool, TB Podcast Studio. Our staff use it to upload our podcast episodes to our own YouTube channel (Transforming Basketball), add their titles, descriptions and thumbnails, schedule when they go public, and check that they have been published. The tool only accesses our own channel and is used only by our staff.

By using YouTube features through our services, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms. Google’s use of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Through YouTube API Services we store only the IDs of our own uploaded videos and their publishing status, so our team can see release progress. We do not collect, store or share any other YouTube data, and we do not access other people’s YouTube accounts.

Access to a YouTube account can be revoked at any time through Google’s security settings: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. When access is revoked, we delete the stored access token and any data obtained through YouTube API Services within 7 days. You can also ask us to delete this data at any time using the contact details in the “Contact us” section.

How we share information

Top

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the website and deliver what you have asked for. They currently include:

  • Website hosting and analytics: Vercel
  • Database hosting: Neon
  • Content management: Sanity
  • Checkout and payments: SamCart and Stripe
  • Email delivery: Kit
  • Customer support and chat: Zendesk
  • AI assistance: Zendesk and Anthropic
  • Analytics and advertising, when enabled: Google, Meta and Microsoft Clarity

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our legal rights, or in connection with a business sale or reorganization.

We are still finalizing the data-processing terms with some of these providers (see the note at the top of this page).

International transfers

Top

We and our service providers may process personal information in countries outside the one in which you live, including the United States. We are still formalizing the specific safeguards that apply to these international transfers. If you would like more information about them, contact us at .

How long we keep information

Top

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.

  • If you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we stop sending you those emails. To honor that choice, we may keep a record of your preference (for example on a suppression or unsubscribe list) rather than deleting your details straight away. Unsubscribing is not the same as deletion; you can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Your rights).
  • We keep inquiry, contact and purchase records for as long as we need them to handle your request and to meet our legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.

Your rights

Top

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at .

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. In Estonia, this is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon).

Children's and young people's information

Top

Our website, resources and email updates are aimed at coaches, trainers and other adults. Some of our activities — such as residential camps and player development — involve young people.

Where a young person takes part, we expect the related registration, inquiry or purchase to be completed by a parent, guardian or coach, and any information about a young person to be provided by a responsible adult in that context. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child through this website.

If you have any question about a young person’s information, or you believe information has been provided without appropriate authority, please contact us at .

Changes to this policy

Top

We may update this Privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date shown at the top of this page. Significant changes may be communicated through the site or by email.
