Kareem came to the game as an educator. He taught math and was an assistant principal in Philadelphia and Denver for 11 years, using this lens in his first foray into coaching basketball in 2015. He has coached at the HS varsity and AAU level (both boys and girls) for 9 years. Before his coaching days, Kareem played at D3 Colby College in Waterville, Maine.

Kareem is currently completing his PhD in the Department of Human Development and Learning Sciences at the University of Colorado. He spent a season working with Alex Sarama at College Prep, working as a Player Development Coach and being responsible for the humanistic / personal development of all 21 players.

Kareem uses his analytics knowledge to bet on sports professionally. He lives in Denver with his wife Corey and their mischievous goldendoodle named Gnocchi.

I love that our organization is not afraid to take bold stances towards improving the way the game is taught, and resists the status quo that permeates the basketball coaching industry.
