De conceptual offense invoeren is echt basketbal. Het zet de spelers in de positie om beslissingen te nemen. Soms maken ze geweldige beslissingen en soms niet, maar zo ziet leren eruit. Zo moet basketbalcoaching zich ontwikkelen.

… Onze statistische gegevens waarin we onze eerste 11 wedstrijden dit jaar vergelijken met de eerste 11 wedstrijden van vorig jaar zijn onweerlegbaar: we hebben onze score per wedstrijd met 12 punten verhoogd, ons totale velddoelpercentage met 8%, ons percentage bij tweepunters met 11% en ons vrijworppercentage met 23%. Terwijl we vorig jaar 3 van onze eerste 11 wedstrijden wonnen, staan we dit jaar op 5 en 6, met 3 verloren wedstrijden met in totaal 5 punten verschil. …

… De meiden speelden tegen teams waar ze eind augustus van waren weggespeeld en ze gaven een show. Het passen, de beweging zonder bal, het gevarieerde screens zetten en de energie waren ongelooflijk om te zien. Ze wonnen 2 wedstrijden en verloren er 1 (wat geweldig was omdat dit een toernooi op hoog niveau was). De wedstrijd die ze verloren ging in verlenging tegen een team dat hen eerder in het seizoen met 45 punten had verslagen!!! …
