Hands down the BEST product for implementing conceptual offense

The Youth Conceptual Offense is an incredible product for youth basketball coaches. As a coach, I’ve seen firsthand how this program makes complex concepts easy for young athletes to understand and execute. The strategies are clear, engaging, and actually work in real-game scenarios, helping players develop skills like spacing, movement, and decision-making. This is the future of basketball. …

What changed for their teams

U15

Italy’s youth national team

“We had great results using conceptual offense ideas with the Italian youth national team, which helped the team not only play effectively, but also allow players to develop individually through making better decisions as opposed to relying only on set plays.”
Alessandro NoceraHead Coach, Italy U15 National Team

56%

Team field goal percentage

“As a team we shot 56% from the field this season, and 11 of my 13 guys on Varsity shot 50% or better from 2 this year.”
Adam LenzenHigh school varsity coach, Lincoln, Nebraska

vs zone

His most successful offense against zone

“I have had more success vs. Zone with Youth Conceptual Offense than any other offense I have run. We relentlessly attack and then move the ball.”
Jon EllsworthHead Coach, North Davis Junior High, Utah

Why it works

Set plays teach players where to go. Not what to do next.

Most offenses are built from set plays or a fixed pattern. When the defense takes away the first option, the play is over and players look to the bench.

A conceptual offense gives your team a shared language instead. Spacing templates tell players where to stand. Triggers, such as a get (a dribble hand-off) or a pick and roll, start an advantage. Dominoes, the passes and drives that follow, keep that advantage alive until the team gets a high-value shot.

Set plays still have a place. They become quick starts that flow back into the offense.

Free practice activity

Try one activity at your next practice

This is how the course teaches: first the principles of play, then how to teach them with small-sided games and constraints. Here is one game to run this week.

Groups of four: two offensive players and one defender, with one player waiting.

2-on-1 shooting at a Transforming camp. Alex sets up the game with players at the Roseto camp, then they play it.
  1. 1

    2-on-1 shooting

Two offensive players start in the corner and on the wing. The defender starts in the mid-range with the ball and passes to either of them. The offense gets one pass to get a shot off. Pass or shoot only, with no dribble.

  2. 2

    Add a drive

Now the player who catches must drive, baseline or middle, then finish or kick it out. Their teammate moves with the drive (a push, pull or hold) so one defender can’t guard both of them.

  3. 3

    Make it harder

Add a second defender standing behind the play (2-on-1+1). The first defender runs the receiver off the line, the second closes out, and the offense has to find the next advantage.

Scoring
3 points to the shooter and the passer for a score. 5 points to the defender for a block or a steal.
Rotation
Players stay on for 45 seconds, then rotate roles. Change sides after two rounds.

Inside the course

From your first practice to a full offense

Every stage pairs the theory with a how-to-teach module full of small-sided games, so you always know what to run next.

  1. 01

    React to the drive

Teach players how to move when a teammate drives, starting with 2-on-1 games and adding players as they connect the drive, the pass and the next advantage.

    • ▸ Two and Three-Side Reactions
    • ▸ 2-on-1 Shooting Scripted Pulls

Is it right for you?

Who this course is for

A good fit if

  • You coach a middle school, high school, club or senior team.
  • You want players making decisions instead of waiting for a play call.
  • You are ready to teach through small-sided games at practice. Coaches report using it with teams from U8 to varsity.

Not the right fit yet if

  • You want a playbook of sets to copy this week. The course includes sets, but they are built on the concepts.
  • You want a short overview before a full course. Start with the Implementing a Conceptual Offense clinic, then come back. See the clinic ($49)

Questions

Before you buy

Is this just a library of drills?

No. Every theory module is paired with a how-to-teach module, and the course includes a step-by-step guide to install the offense with your team. The 200+ small-sided games are how each concept is taught.

Do I need to read the book first?

No. The course starts with the foundations, including why concepts work better than memorized plays, before it moves into teaching.

Is it only for youth teams?

No. The concepts scale from middle school through high school and senior programs. The offense is built on reads and spacing that apply at every level.

Wie viel Zeit braucht es?

There are 15+ hours of on-demand learning. You can start with one concept inside an existing practice block and add more as your players are ready.

Can I still run set plays?

Yes. Two modules cover sets for the conceptual offense and how to teach them, so a set becomes a quick start that flows back into your concepts.

What if I have questions as I install it?

Email support is included, and you keep lifetime access to every lesson, including updates.

Is there a payment plan?

Yes. Pay $499 once, or 3 monthly payments of $175 ($525 total, USD). Select “Payment Plan” in checkout.
